Sleep in Your Own Bed Retreat

Welcome

We had another fun “Sleep in Your Own Bed Retreat” this past weekend.  Just in case you don’t know yet what a “SIYOBR” is ~ It’s a Friday evening, 6:00 til …… as long as you can make it.  Leave all your stuff.  Come back Saturday 9:00 am and sew until 5:00 pm.  All the while being spoiled with yummy snacks and meals, great company and best of all, time for yourself!

Enjoy some pics of happy quilters, works in process, and just plain ol’ FUN!!

knitter

We quilters often have other passions!

Kelli is also an avid knitter and she was knitting the most AMAZING ruffle scarves!  Of course I didn’t get a shot of the finished product to show you.  I’ll get one next month to show you.  We all wanted to place orders!  She may bring some next month…..maybe we can buy from her …… our fingers are crossed!

The studio is set up in 2 sets of 4 tables.  This is one side of the studio.

If you’re in the area (Salem/Keizer in Oregon) I’d love to have you for retreat or any class.  I’m going to be beginning a “Ladies Night Out”  that will basically be the Friday night version of the “SIYOBR”.  A time to get away to do what you love doing, enjoy great company, partake in some yummy snacks ……  I’m also there to be your cheerleader and help anywhere I can.

I’ll be putting out a new schedule soon.  Be watching.

Have a happy day!

Blessings ~ Terri

A Special Birthday Party

30 candles

My first born turns 30 today!  I’ll never forget that very special morning.  I was so filled with joy and excitement.  Ryan was perfect in every way.

_4_Ryan Ryan at about 4 months

From day 1 he made me laugh!  I always say, I spent the first 4 months of his life laughing at all the silly faces and things he did.  I was fortunate to be a stay at home mom and was loving every minute.

As the years have gone by Ryan continues to make me laugh.  He has in incredible sense of humor!  He was one of those kids who, when he was in trouble could somehow make you laugh while you were trying to discipline him and …… well lets just say it felt allot less effective!

Last weekend we had a party at my house with many of his friends and family. He wanted a “CHEESE'” party.  Instead of gifts he asked that everyone bring a specialty cheese.  We wondered if there would be enough.  Hah!  Most people brought multiple cheeses.  It was fun trying the different varieties and Ryan loved it!

Here’s some pics from the party with friends and family~
