How Was Your Thanksgiving?
I hope each of you had a special day whatever you did this year for Thanksgiving.
Our traditions have changed a bit as life circumstances change and kids grow up. Additions and losses to the family create change. As the years go by and life changes we must remain flexible and willing to change and bend in the wind or we’ll SNAP. If we bend and flow, we can only get STRONGER. I want to be strong. How ‘bout you?
I have so much to be thankful for. This morning Sam (my 18 month old grandson) and I were talking about all we have to be thankful for. OK…. I guess I was talking and he was looking at me and listening and I’m sure agreeing with me in his own way. I told him I was thankful for him and we talked about what he was thankful for…. Mommy, Daddy, Jesus, the kitties ….. it was very sweet. Meet Sam~
I’ve had a delightful Thanksgiving with my kids. Instead of cooking dinner this year as I often do I’m in Bellevue Washington at my son Ryan’s. The rest of my kids are here and my daughter in law’s parents. We had snow for Thanksgiving. An unusual thing in the Pacific Northwest. It’s been lots of fun. I LOVE snow, Thanksgiving, and spending time with my kids! It’s been a GREAT day!
Here’s some pics from our family Thanksgiving Day~
Daughter in Law Bethany preparing her first turkey!
We all decided – the BEST turkey we’d ever had!
Bethany prepared a brine that it soaked in all night. It was FABULOUS!
Jeff (son in law) making his favorite “Green Bean Casserole” and Ryan carving the bird.
Enjoying the feast!
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings ~ Terri
