Free Valentine Pattern

For me Valentines Day has always been a day to show those I love how much they mean to me.  It’s never been a mushy “couples only” day.  My Mom always made the day special for us and I’ve tried to  continued that tradition with my kids.  We’d have heart shaped Calzone for dinner, maybe some red jello and a special Valentine themed dessert.  At each person’s place, a small gift to show my love. 

If you receive my newsletters you’ve already seen this project if not ~ here we go.  Valentines Day is quickly approaching and I thought I’d share a little project with you.  I call it the “No Wilt Valentine Bouquet”.  It’s a bouquet of fabric heart “flowers”.  Make single stems to give away to special friends on Valentines Day or a bouquet for your home. 

Charm squares are the perfect size and a charm pack gives wonderful variety to your “flowers”.  Take a look~

Blessings in the New Year!

Been thinking a lot today about the new year.  Really it’s just another day, week, month …… but it always seems to be the time we try and make fresh starts.  It’s good to think back a little and plan for the future but most importantly, make the most of today.

As I think of acquaintances and those I love – the things we’ve all experienced of late, there’s only one constant and that’s our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He will always love me, take care of me, help me, and be there for me, and if I allow Him, He will give me joy. 

I know one thing about this new year, I choose JOY.  I know it will come in many forms and some days the Lord will have to work really hard to give that to me but I know He will if I allow it.

I love Him with all my heart and trust him with my life.

It’s going to be a great year!
